REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: AIRBAG SYSTEM: PRECAUTION (2008 Sequoia) .

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected INTRODUCTION: REPAIR INSTRUCTION: INITIALIZATION (2008 Sequoia) .

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Manual Seat)

(a) Remove the front seat assembly RH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH (for Power Seat)

(a) Remove the front seat assembly RH SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): REMOVAL (2008 Sequoia) .

4. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Manual Seat)

(a) Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU.

(b) Disengage the claw and occupant classification ECU.

5. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Power Seat)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors from the occupant classification ECU.

(b) Disengage the claw and occupant classification ECU.
